Attendance Rule for Students
To ensure academic discipline and active participation in the learning process, all students must adhere to the following attendance rule:
- Mandatory Attendance:
- A minimum of 75% attendance is required in all lectures, tutorials, practical sessions, and other academic activities conducted during each semester.
- Eligibility for Examination Form Submission:
- Students who fail to maintain the stipulated 75% attendance will not be eligible to fill the examination form and appear for the semester-end examinations.
- Attendance Monitoring:
- Attendance will be monitored and recorded regularly by the departments.
- Students are advised to track their attendance and ensure compliance to avoid any inconvenience.
- Exceptions:
- In case of genuine reasons like medical emergencies or other unavoidable circumstances, students must submit appropriate supporting documents (e.g., medical certificates) to their department within the specified time.
- Such cases will be considered at the discretion of the university administration and may require additional approval.
- Advisory:
- Students are strongly encouraged to attend all classes to gain the full benefit of the programme and avoid falling short of the mandatory attendance requirement.
Non-compliance with the above rule will lead to disqualification from the semester-end examinations and may affect academic progression. For any clarifications or concerns, students may contact Director or the office of the controller of examinations.
